What it is
A six-month working partnership built around one business objective you are committed to achieving.
What you bring
One meaningful objective and the willingness to have your decisions, evidence and assumptions examined.
What you leave with
Not a business plan. The entrepreneurial capacity to repeatedly turn intention into measurable results.
Most professionals do not struggle because they have no business ideas.
They struggle because too many ideas never become disciplined execution, and too much activity never becomes measurable business progress.
The 6-Month Business Accountability Lab is a working partnership for professionals who have one specific business objective they are committed to achieving, and who want to develop the entrepreneurial capacity required to make it happen.
This is not another business course. And it is not a space where you come every few weeks to report whether you completed your to-do list.
Your business objective becomes your practice field. Across six months, we work directly with your actions, decisions, results, obstacles and business evidence.
The process is simple and demanding: Decide. Act. Measure. Learn. Adapt. Decide again.
Accountability is the mechanism. Entrepreneurial capability is what we are developing.
Your work starts before the first meeting.
During the application process, you will identify one meaningful business objective you are prepared to pursue with focus for the following six months.
It could relate to revenue, client acquisition, positioning, launching or validating an offer, entering a new market, developing a revenue stream, building a strategic partnership, increasing conversion, or another measurable business priority.
The objective matters. But so does the professional you need to become in order to achieve it.
Because achieving one business result once is useful. Developing the entrepreneurial capacity to repeatedly create meaningful business results is considerably more valuable.
Every meeting returns to your actual business and your actual objective.
We examine every step strategically. We work with the gap between intention and execution. We challenge assumptions, examine numbers and market evidence, identify what creates progress and what merely creates activity, make trade-offs, confront avoidance and ineffective patterns, and decide where your time, attention and resources should go next.
You leave every meeting with clear decisions and measurable commitments towards your objective.
Then you go back into the market and test them. At the next meeting, we work with what actually happened.
This repeated cycle is where entrepreneurial capability develops.
Guided by Oana Niculae
Oana Niculae
My role is not to give you a generic formula for building a business, or to tell you what your business should look like. My role is to bring challenge, business perspective, professional judgment and disciplined questioning to the decisions you are making.
I will challenge the assumptions behind your choices, the evidence you use to support them, where you may be avoiding necessary action, where your resources are being diluted, and whether your current decisions are actually capable of producing the result you say you want.
At times, I will bring my own entrepreneurial experience, frameworks, observations and direct recommendations into the conversation. At other times, the most valuable intervention will be the question that forces you to reconsider what you are doing.
The purpose is not dependency on a mentor. It is better entrepreneurial judgment of your own.
01
You have a business objective, but execution keeps losing against daily activity.
You need protected space where one priority remains a priority long enough to produce a result.
02
You are doing a lot, but cannot clearly demonstrate what is creating business progress.
Activity is not evidence. We measure what actually moves the objective.
03
You need decisions, not more information.
The next stage of your business may depend less on what else you learn and more on your ability to choose, act and learn from consequences.
04
You keep changing direction before you have enough evidence.
Six months creates enough continuity to distinguish between something that needs persistence and something that genuinely needs adaptation.
05
You need your assumptions challenged.
Working alone makes it remarkably easy to build convincing explanations for decisions that are not producing results.
06
Your professional expertise has developed faster than your entrepreneurial capability.
Being excellent at what you do and building a sustainable business around that excellence are different capabilities.
07
The business you want may require a different level of professional maturity from you.
Growth eventually stops being about adding another product, technique or marketing tactic. It becomes about the quality of the professional making the decisions.
The Academy was not created as a collection of courses. It was built as a professional learning ecosystem for people whose work creates development and transformation for others, and who need to mature professionally in order to sustain that responsibility and build viable businesses around their expertise.
We work at the intersection of three dimensions that cannot remain separate: professional competence, leadership presence and entrepreneurial maturity.
Because professional excellence without the capacity to create a sustainable business limits your impact. Business growth without professional maturity eventually limits the quality of what you can deliver. And knowledge without deliberate practice rarely changes professional behaviour.
The Academy therefore creates learning environments in which professionals do not simply acquire more information. They practise, receive challenge and feedback, make decisions, test themselves against reality, reflect, adapt and progressively develop professional judgment.
The Business Accountability Lab applies exactly this philosophy to your business.
Your business becomes the learning environment. Your objective becomes the practice field. And your results become evidence.
Participation is limited to a small number of professionals. This is intentional.
Real business mentoring requires enough space to examine each participant’s decisions, progress, obstacles and evidence, not simply to listen to general advice in a larger group.
The Lab is open to both Collective Shift Academy members and professionals from outside the Academy. Admission takes place following an application and an interview with Oana Niculae, to ensure that you have an appropriate objective and are ready for the level of commitment the process requires.
Questions before you register
What if I do not know yet what my objective should be?
That is part of the application process. Identifying the right objective, one that is meaningful, measurable, and worth six months of focus — is work in itself, and the interview with Oana is designed to help you arrive at it with clarity.
Is this a business course?
No. There is no curriculum, no modules, and no generic framework delivered to a room. Every session works with your actual business, your actual decisions, and your actual results. What you learn emerges from your own practice, examined rigorously.
Can I bring more than one objective?
No. This constraint is the point. Most professionals dilute their progress across too many priorities. Six months of focus on one objective produces more capability, and usually more results, than six months of divided attention.
What if my objective changes during the six months?
Objectives sometimes need genuine adaptation. Part of the work is learning to distinguish between something that requires persistence and something that requires a real change of direction — a distinction most professionals get wrong when working alone.
I am not a coach. Can I still apply?
Yes. The Lab is open to any professional building a business around their expertise. What matters is that you have a real objective and the readiness to have your decisions examined.
What is expected of me between sessions?
You act. You test decisions in the market, gather evidence, and return with what actually happened — not with intentions. The sessions work with reality, which means you need to have generated some.
Why is there an interview?
Because the group is small and the process is demanding. The interview ensures that your objective is appropriate, that the timing is right for you, and that the commitment required is one you are genuinely prepared to make.
